Medici per il Territorio 2023: Katia Serra and Giuliano Razzoli

The sixth Medici per il Territorio edition, held at the estate on 15 June 2023, considered Emilia-Romagna’s development from Food Valley into a Sport Valley capable of connecting major competitions, public authorities, sporting organisations and local industry.

Former footballer and broadcaster Katia Serra discussed the recent professionalisation of women’s football and the need for an inclusive sporting culture that protects women athletes. Olympic slalom champion Giuliano Razzoli recounted his development from a young skier in Emilia, far from the large Alpine club system, to victory at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.

Fondazione Palazzo Magnani returned to La Rampata with Valter Valentini’s work Il Tempo, introduced by curator Stefania Palazzo. The evening brought together institutions, political representatives, associations, business leaders and friends of the estate to connect art, sport, agriculture, tourism, economics and wine.
