Sustainability in the cellar practices of Principe Corsini
Sustainability is applied throughout the wine and oil production chain, combining technological control with efforts to reduce energy use and preserve natural resources.
Materials from production are recovered where possible. Old barriques, barrels and vats can be transformed into new objects by the company carpenter. Wine packaging no longer uses polystyrene; it has been replaced by cardboard with a lower environmental impact. The cardboard is PEFC certified and comes from sustainably managed forests, while an interlocking design removes the need for adhesive tape.
These measures are intended to support a low-impact production model capable of being passed from one generation to the next.
