VIVA Sustainability Certification for Principe Corsini’s wine

Principe Corsini joined VIVA in 2022. Established by the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security as a pilot project in 2011, VIVA is a public standard for measuring and improving the sustainability performance of Italian wine production.

The programme has two central aims: defining the sector’s sustainability profile and developing production guidelines consistent with European Union and OIV principles. Assessment is based on four indicators. Air measures direct and indirect greenhouse-gas emissions; Water addresses consumption and effects on water resources; Vineyard evaluates agricultural management; and Territory considers the economic, social and environmental relationship between production and its location.
