Grotte e Vino Project

Tasca d’Almerita and the municipality of Alia launched a territorial project at the Grotte della Gurfa, a complex of rock-cut architecture excavated into a red-sandstone cliff near Tenuta Regaleali. Seventy-two bottles from the estate—Buonsenso Catarratto Sicilia DOC 2023 and Guarnaccio Perricone Sicilia DOC 2022—were placed in a niche inside the caves for monitored ageing through October 2025. After the experiment, the bottles were designated for a charity auction, with proceeds intended to finance a lighting system for the archaeological and landscape site.
