Nasce Frontiere Pinot Bianco

Frontiere entered a new phase with the 2020 harvest. Pinot Bianco, present in Friuli Venezia Giulia for more than 150 years, became the wine’s sole variety. The estate selected fruit from a vineyard at Vencò described as fifty years old, close to the Slovenian border. The planting’s long-established rows were associated with continuity of quality and consistency of style. The combination of favourable temperature, light, ventilation and Eocene marl-and-sandstone ponca was presented as particularly suitable for the variety. The resulting release replaced the earlier Collio Bianco conception of Frontiere with a varietal Pinot Bianco.
