Un giorno sulla Strada del Vino e dei sapori dell’Etna: itinerario sul versante sud-est

The itinerary presents the Etna Wine and Flavours Route as a connection between old villages, wineries, volcanic landscapes and local produce. It begins at Viagrande, home of Contrada Blandano, before continuing through Trecastagni and Zafferana Etnea.

South-eastern Etna is characterised by broad light, dry-stone lava walls, terraced vineyards and historic alberello training, with views connecting the volcano to the sea. At TerraCostantino, visitors can explore the eighteenth-century palmento, modern underground winery, vineyards and geological section before tasting Etna Bianco, Etna Rosso and contrada selections.

The afternoon route extends beyond wine to Etna honey, traditional apples such as Cola, preserves, olive oil and local cheeses. The itinerary is intended to show how nearby contrade, palmenti and wineries express different aspects of the volcanic territory.
