About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

Le Volpare lies on Monte Foscarino in the historic Soave Classico area of Monteforte d’Alpone. The hills are volcanic in origin, and the vineyard’s soils have a basaltic matrix. The vines are trained using both Guyot and Pergola Veronese systems.

Grapes

100% Garganega.

Vinification

Fermentation lasts 5 days in stainless-steel vats.

Ageing

The wine matures for 6 months in stainless-steel tanks.

Technical data

Alcohol: 12% vol. Bottle size: 750 ml.

Tasting profile

Pale straw yellow with brilliant green highlights. The delicate bouquet recalls acacia blossom and elderflower. Dry, harmonious and balanced on the palate, it shows white-fleshed fruit and a savory finish reminiscent of fresh almonds.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 8–10 °C. Particularly suitable with hors d’oeuvres, vegetable-based pasta and rice dishes, and delicately flavored fish or white-meat recipes.

Label / history

The wine originates in the volcanic hills surrounding the medieval town of Soave and its castle.
