About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes grow on the hills of San Pietro in Cariano in the historic Valpolicella Classica area. Cherry trees surround the vines and inspire the wine’s name and soft, lightly sweet-fruited character.

Grapes

Corvina, Rondinella and Pelara.

Vinification

The grapes undergo 5 days of carbonic maceration followed by 6 days of fermentation in stainless-steel tanks.

Ageing

Maturation lasts 4 months in stainless-steel tanks.

Technical data

Rosso Verona IGT. Alcohol: 12% vol. Bottle size: 750 ml.

Tasting profile

Bright ruby red. The fragrant, vinous bouquet offers cherry, sour cherry, strawberry, raspberry and redcurrant, accompanied by hints of spice. The palate is dry and soft, echoing the fruit found on the nose and emphasizing easy, pleasurable drinking.

Serving and pairing

Serve cool at 10–12°C. Pair with cold cuts, light first courses, fresh cheeses or pizza. It is also suited to service by the glass as a fresh aperitif-style red.

Label / history

The name Terra dei Ciliegi refers to the cherry trees surrounding the vineyard.
