Tre ottimi motivi per non perdersi le degustazioni di Casa Tornesi a Montalcino
Elisa describes the estate visit as direct contact with the people who live and work in Montalcino rather than a conventional cellar tour. Tastings are conducted by family members or people closely connected to them, allowing guests to follow the estate’s story and production rhythms.
The 2023 season coincided with 30 years since Tornesi’s first Brunello production. Elisa linked the anniversary to the memory of her grandparents and recalled Gino’s 1967 registration of the vineyards for Brunello and his early membership in the Consorzio.
The tour covers the vinification and ageing areas before moving to the Terrazza del Cuculo, with views across the vineyards, Val d’Orcia and Monte Amiata. Tastings included Brunello, Rosso di Montalcino and Benducce 570, accompanied by salumi, cheeses and Tuscan dishes prepared by Renata.
