Suvereto e la Costa degli Etruschi
The Val di Cornia is described as an irregular triangle stretching from medieval Suvereto toward Baratti and Follonica, facing the Tyrrhenian Sea, Elba and Montecristo. Vineyards and olive groves share the landscape with medieval villages, Etruscan sites, thermal waters and historic mines. Local viticulture reflects a mosaic of exposures and soils, including pink marble and volcanic earth, together with maritime Scirocco and Maestrale winds. Suvereto DOCG, Rosso della Val di Cornia DOCG and Val di Cornia DOC form part of the wider regional identity.
