The Human Touch in Tuscany
The 2022 growing season was exceptionally dry until two rains in late August and early September helped later-ripening grapes. Vineyard management, harvest timing and restrained extraction were decisive in producing refined, approachable wines. Spring rain and disease pressure made 2023 demanding, but scattered summer rainfall relieved water stress in Cabernet and Sangiovese and helped preserve acidity. Stefano Frascolla described 2023 as balanced, while Giovanni Frascolla identified a cellar shift toward infusion and away from pumping-over.
