Agrofutura Pesaro: Michele Bernetti at the Festival Dedicated to the Future of Agriculture

Agrofutura took place at Palazzo Ducale in Pesaro on 16 July during Carlino Day, combining a discussion about the future of Italian agriculture with the inauguration of the exhibition Eyes on History. Michele Bernetti joined the panel on organic farming, districts, consortia and alliances for sustainable, high-quality agriculture.

Bernetti argued that appellations require responsible production management to preserve their identity and credibility. Overproduction can erode accumulated value, making careful coordination of supply and demand essential. He presented sustainability as a balance among environmental protection, viable businesses, production quality and long-term economic value. Promotion and education were identified as parallel priorities: consumers need to understand wine’s origins, culture and relationship to the land.
