How the SPAE program works: nine modules, one year, one community

Founded in 2021, SPAE welcomes farmers, agronomists, technicians, newcomers and enthusiasts to an annual agroecology program in Camporeale. Each of the nine modules lasts two days and combines instruction with soil-profile reading, mapping, ecosystem observation and practical work with crops or animals.

The curriculum progresses from agroecological foundations and farm analysis through biodiversity, soil health, water management, animal integration, markets, agricultural policy and systemic decision-making. Participants completing the full sequence gain access to the final module devoted to designing an agroecological farm.
