The Piccini family’s return to the future: Ginevra, Benedetta and Michelangelo

Ginevra, Benedetta and Michelangelo Piccini grew up among the family vineyards before following paths spanning marketing, finance and oenology. After training under their father Mario, they returned to the estates and created Generazione Vigneti as a framework for greater attention to terroir, experimentation and environmental responsibility.

The new phase began at Fattoria di Valiano. At Poggio Teo, Icaro X4 became a visible expression of the programme: an autonomous, GPS-guided, electrically powered robot whose wing-mounted panels use UV-C light to prevent fungal diseases such as downy mildew. The project links technological experimentation with the estate’s earlier complete conversion to organic management.
