Serena Gusmeri brings Montefili to New York City

Serena Gusmeri’s New York programme focused on Chianti Classico, recent vintages, farming, soil research and site-specific Sangiovese. She presented Chianti Classico 2017, Chianti Classico Gran Selezione 2016, Vigna Vecchia Gran Selezione 2016, Anfiteatro 2016 and Bruno di Rocca 2016.

The itinerary began on Tuesday, January 21 with a trade tasting at I Trulli and an evening tasting and conversation at Kings County Wines in Brooklyn. On Wednesday, January 22, Montefili collaborated with Goosefeather in Tarrytown on a five-course pairing menu prepared by chef Dale Tale. A wine dinner followed at Ristoro del Cinghiale in Manhattan on Thursday, January 23, and the programme concluded with a Friday, January 24 tasting at Shawn Fine Wine in Brooklyn.
