About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

Syrah is cultivated on the hills of Sambuca di Sicilia, with good sun exposure and fresh limestone-and-clay soils. Nearby Lake Arancio helps supply water and nutrients through dry periods, contributing to the grapes’ spicy and fruity character.

Grapes

Syrah.

Vinification

The grapes are pressed lightly to avoid green tannins. Controlled-temperature maceration lasts approximately 10–12 days, with the must pumped over every four hours. Vinification and ageing take place in stainless-steel tanks.

Tasting profile

Ruby red with crimson highlights. Aromas of red fruit are joined by fresh balsamic notes. Full-bodied, with vivid tannins and a fresh finish.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 16–18°C with red meat, barbecued or grilled meat, game birds and mature cheeses.
