2025 Chianti Classico harvest

The harvest began on 24 August with grapes for sparkling rosé. Picking for red wines started on 5 September with Merlot, followed by Colorino and Sangiovese from mid-September through the first week of October. Sangiovese for the two biodynamic selections was harvested on 19 and 20 September during the family's annual harvest gathering in memory of Filippo Corsini.

Winter 2024–2025 was mild. Spring was seasonally typical, with well-distributed rainfall supporting phenolic development. Summer brought two short heat waves, but cool nights and pronounced diurnal variation helped preserve acidity. Canopy management prevented sunburn, while organic integrated protection controlled downy mildew and powdery mildew through flowering and fruit set. Lobesia botrana was the most difficult pest but was managed using organic integrated methods.

Fruit reached the cellar healthy and fully ripe, with loose bunches and thicker skins than in previous years. Initial cellar assessment found good structure, elevated but harmonious acidity, fine tannins and emerging floral, spicy and mineral notes. The early profile suggested a fresh, balanced and ageworthy expression, subject to confirmation as maturation proceeds.
