About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards are in Sicily at 80 metres above sea level. The vines are at least 30 years old.
Vinification
The ripe grapes are harvested by hand in late September. Vinification takes place in barrels, with skin maceration and natural yeasts.
Ageing
The wine matures on its fine lees, spending one year in chestnut barrels followed by nine months in oak barrels.
Tasting profile
The aroma is refined, while the palate is distinctive and pleasant.
