Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in the commune of Ramingallo at 250 m above sea level. The vineyards have richly textured, medium-consistency soils, and the vines average 18 years of age. The estate follows biodynamic farming principles, seeking to preserve the natural balance of the vineyard and express the soils’ character.
Grapes
The blend comprises equal parts Insolia and Grecanico.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in September and fermented in concrete tanks at 26 °C. The winery uses concrete and terracotta vessels to avoid imparting oak aromas.
Ageing
The wine rests for nine months in the winery’s cellar.
Label / history
The wine was called Ramingallo, after its commune of origin, until 1998.
