Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from vineyards in Veneto at 150–300 metres above sea level. Dindarella is an ancient variety, and yields are extremely limited, so only a small amount of the wine is produced.
Vinification
The grapes are picked carefully by hand, thoroughly sorted and gently pressed. Vinification takes place in dedicated facilities under carefully controlled temperatures.
Ageing
The wine is aged in small oak barrels, then spends a further 8 months in the cellars after bottling.
Tasting profile
Elegant.
Vintage notes
2016: The winter in Veneto was warmer than usual on average, with almost no rainfall. A cold, rainy spell began in early April, with below-average temperatures lasting until mid-May. Bud break came early, in the first half of April, while flowering took place at the usual time, in mid to late May. Veraison ran from late July through the first week of August. Heavy rain arrived in September, but warmer temperatures and ideal ventilation reduced humidity, so the grapes reached excellent ripeness while remaining healthy. The vintage produced excellent wines, with the best examples showing outstanding ripeness and concentration, good acidity and a fine tannin structure.
