Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in Veneto, in the hills of Sant’Ambrogio. The vines of the principal varieties are 28–40 years old, while those of the local varieties are more than 50 years old.
Grapes
Local native varieties account for 15% of the blend.
Vinification
After the initial fermentation, the wine undergoes a second fermentation with naturally sugar-rich grape pomace left from the production of Recioto and Amarone.
Ageing
The wine ages in large oak barrels for about 1.5 years before filtration and bottling.
Tasting profile
The second fermentation contributes an intense flavour and rich aroma.
