Less Weight, More Value: our sustainable choice for a Good, Clean and Fair wine in Verduno
Environmental responsibility is framed as the duty to pass Verduno’s vineyards intact to future generations. Photovoltaic panels generate energy for cellar operations, a rainwater-collection well supplies vineyard treatments, and recyclable materials are prioritised in packaging.
The estate joined the Slow Wine Coalition’s call to reduce average bottle weight below 450 g by the end of 2026. It moved all wines from the classic 575 g Albeisa bottle to the 450 g Albeisa Leggera, reducing shipping emissions and the energy required for production and recycling. Sustainability is presented as a continuing sequence of coherent actions whose long-term test is whether future generations can still cultivate the same crus.
