Vinification
The grapes undergo maceration and alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 months, divided equally between stainless-steel tanks and oak barriques. It then rests for a further 8–12 months in horizontally stored bottles at 15–16 °C.

Refined and elegant, with berry aromas and a soft palate.
Label / history
The Avide estate has belonged to the Demostene family since 1882 and owns 70 ha of vineyards. Based in Cerasuolo di Vittoria, it was co-founded as a family winery by Giovanni Demostene, his sister Maria-Stella Demostene and her husband Giuseppe Calcaterra. Their children Giovanni, Lidia and Marco continue the family tradition.
