Questo vino
Vinification
Moscato grapes are naturally very aromatic, and the winemaking is designed to preserve those aromas in the finished wine. Only the finest grapes are used. Fermentation takes place at a low temperature, producing a fresh, fruit-forward wine.
Tasting profile
Light and gently sparkling, with notes of wildflowers, ripe fruit and honey, and a refreshing freshness.
Serving and pairing
Serve chilled and drink young. It suits drinking on its own, as an aperitif, or with fruit and light desserts.
Label / history
The wine is kosher. It was originally bottled in blue glass so that it would stand out and be distinguished from other successful brands. Blue bottles are rarely used in winemaking: coloured glass historically protected wine from light, but blue glass was uncommon because it was rare and more expensive to produce. The choice attracted a wider audience than the producer had initially expected, and the blue bottle has become a symbol of Bartenura Moscato.
