Vineyard and terroir
Cartizze is a 106 ha hilly area and village in the municipality of Valdobbiadene, divided among 140 winegrowers. Its soils are stony and contain sandstone of marine origin, with steady moisture levels. Sunny exposure, constant airflow and a favourable microclimate allow the grapes to ripen slowly, developing rich flavour and balanced acidity. Bisol’s plot is on the southeastern side of the hill at 230 m above sea level. The estate has 50 ha of vineyards, most of them in the steep hills of Cartizze within Conegliano Valdobbiadene.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested from late September to early October.
Tasting profile
The aroma and palate are refined and elegant.
Label / history
The Jeio range takes its name from Desiderio Bisol, whom his wife called Jeio. He revived the family business after the First World War and helped it expand. The Bisol family company traces its history to 1542.
