The grapes are grown in Veneto, northeastern Italy.
Grapes
Merlot forms the larger part of the blend, contributing a fruity character, while Corvina Veronese adds structure, richness and cherry notes.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand, beginning no earlier than October. Traditional red-wine vinification is used.
Ageing
The wine ages in oak barrels for eight months, developing notes of vanilla and spice.
Tasting profile
Ripe fruit and raisins accompany cherry, vanilla and spice notes. The Corvina Veronese gives the wine structure and richness.

Pair with grilled or roasted red and white meats, game or mature cheeses.
