Sangiovese leads the blend.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested entirely by hand, beginning in early September. Fruit from each plot is vinified separately in conical wooden vats and concrete tanks. Fermentation is slow, with gentle extraction, followed by malolactic fermentation. The separate lots are then blended.
Ageing
The wine matures in large wooden casks for about 12 months.
Tasting profile
Elegant and fresh, with aromas characteristic of the Tuscan coast. The bouquet is intense, while the palate is inviting, with soft tannins and great depth.
