Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The wine comes from Sicily, where the sun can seem to scorch everything. Inzolia has been used here for centuries to make delicate, aromatic wines at higher elevations. The Feudi del Pisciotto winery lies 7 km from the sea, between Caltagirone and Piazza Armerina. The estate has 40 ha of vineyards planted with local varieties, from Nero d'Avola to Frappato, as well as international grapes such as Merlot and Cabernet.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested entirely by hand at the end of August. Vinification takes 15 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. At the winery, must and wine are moved into vats from above by gravity, a method considered especially suitable and efficient.
Ageing
The wine ages six months in stainless steel tanks, followed by 4 months in bottle.
Tasting profile
Easy to drink, with an inviting aroma and a pleasant taste. Delicate and aromatic in style.
