Vineyard and terroir
The vines grow at 80 metres above sea level in mixed soils that are mainly sandy. Planting density is 5,900 vines per hectare. The Feudi del Pisciotto winery lies on Sicily, 7 km from the sea, between Caltagirone and Piazza Armerina, and the estate has 40 ha of vineyards.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested entirely by hand in the first week of September. Vinification lasts 15 days in stainless steel tanks at a controlled 27 °C, followed by malolactic fermentation. At the winery, must and wine are moved into vats by gravity.
Ageing
The wine spends 6 months in previously used barriques, then a further 4 months in bottle.

The estate's vineyards are planted with local varieties, from Nero d'Avola to Frappato, and with international varieties including Merlot and Cabernet. The labels were created by leading Italian designers.
