The Brera Limited Edition grew from a collaboration combining art, support for charitable causes and the promotion of young artists. Students of the Brera Art School in Milan individually hand-painted a small number of bottles of I Sodi di S. Niccolò 2019, making every example different. Their designs form a carousel of flowers, leaves and other natural elements around the bird traditionally shown on the label. The presentation case carries a design created by the students as well.
The project followed a meeting with the school’s principal and turned the estate’s principal wine into a limited artistic collection. One decorated 9 L bottle was designated for an autumn auction at Christie’s in London, with all proceeds intended for Dynamo Camp, a non-profit organisation providing recreational activities for children and adolescents affected by illness. Part of the proceeds from sales of the other formats was also allocated to the foundation.
