Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown in Tuscany. The area was seabed 4 million years ago, and ancient fossils can still be found among the vine rows.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested relatively early to retain their natural acidity and freshness. They are gently pressed to enhance their aromas while limiting colour extraction from the skins. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks, without malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine rests in stainless-steel tanks to preserve its fresh, lively fruit character.
Tasting profile
Fresh and lively, with aromatic fruit and retained acidity.
Serving and pairing
Pair with light salads, fish dishes or white meat.
Label / history
The monument depicted on the label honours Leonardo da Vinci, after whom Cantina Leonardo da Vinci was named. The cantina was founded in 1961 when 30 small wineries pooled their resources to build a shared cellar. Their vineyards initially covered 70 hectares and expanded to approximately 750 hectares over the following 50 years.
