Vineyard and terroir

The grapes grow in Friuli Grave, where air moves continually between the Adriatic and the Alps, creating a climate particularly suited to viticulture.

Vinification

Harvest takes place from late August to early September. The must ferments in stainless-steel tanks under controlled temperatures.

Ageing

The wine rests briefly in neutral vessels.

Label / history

Created in 2002, the Romio range brings together wines made from selected grape varieties across Italy. Production involves teams from several Italian wineries and was conceived with restaurants and contemporary consumer preferences in mind while retaining regional character.

The wine received bronze at the 2011 Japan Wine Challenge; gold at the 2012 Sélections Mondiales des Vins in Canada; silver at the 2012 Japan Wine Challenge; bronze at the International Wine & Spirit Competition in London; and bronze at the 2012 WSA Wine Challenge in Singapore.
