A Lambrusco Noir for America
Vecchia Modena Noir was created for North America using pure Grasparossa from the little-over-12-hectare Vigneto Cialdini. The label drew on the historic Vecchia Modena bottle dating to 1890. North America represented 25% of Cleto Chiarli turnover, and Vecchia Modena was the estate’s best-selling label there through restaurants and small wine shops. The wine used rigorously selected fruit, soft pressing and a single direct fermentation for its prise de mousse.
