Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The Lambrusco fruit comes from the company’s own vineyards. The Chiarli family owns more than 90 ha of vineyards in the Lambrusco DOC production area.
Vinification
The grapes are gently pressed. The must is clarified and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks before undergoing a secondary fermentation, producing the low-pressure Italian style known as Frizzante.
Label / history
Cleto Chiarli founded the company in 1860 after managing Trattoria dell’Artigliere in central Modena, where he made Lambrusco for regular customers. Its reception encouraged him to begin producing the wine for wider sale.
In 2002, Mauro and Anselmo Chiarli decided to construct a new winery at the Azienda Agricola Castelvetro estate. Since 2003, this winery has produced Lambrusco under the Cleto Chiarli brand.
