Vinification
The grapes are gently pressed and fermented in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16 °C. Secondary fermentation takes place in small cuvées, producing a lightly sparkling, low-pressure Frizzante style.
Label / history
Cleto Chiarli founded the company in 1860 after making Lambrusco for guests at Trattoria dell'Artigliere, which he managed in central Modena. Their response encouraged him to begin producing the wine for wider sale.
In 2002, Mauro and Anselmo Chiarli decided to build a new winery at Azienda Agricola Castelvetro. The facility began producing Lambrusco under the Cleto Chiarli brand in 2003.
