Label / history
Ribolla Gialla appears in Friuli’s historical record alongside prominent figures. In the fourteenth century Giovanni Boccaccio counted Ribolla among the sins of gluttony. Duke Leopold III of Austria was also an admirer and ordered the region to provide him with 100 urns of the wine each year.
