Produced in Friuli. The variety has long been cultivated by winegrowers in northeastern Italy.
Grapes
Tocai. Friulano has an ancient lineage related to the French Sauvignonasse, now nearly extinct in France. It produces wines marked by softness and structure.

Tasting profile
Delicate white-flower aromas are accompanied by peach and apricot, with a subtle herbal background. The palate is harmonious, balanced, soft and lively, supported by bright acidity. A lightly bitter nuance and a sense of fullness persist through the finish.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 12°C. Pair with white meats, appetizers, seafood and vitello tonnato.
Label / history
Despite the historical Tocai name, the variety is unrelated to Hungary’s Tokaji wine. It has been cultivated in northeastern Italy by Friulian growers since the seventeenth century.
