Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from the Fojaneghe estate vineyards, at 300 m near Mori and Isera. The soils are limestone and basalt, and the vineyards lie close to Lake Garda.

Grapes

The blend comprises 45% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc and 15% Teroldego.

Vinification

The grapes undergo maceration at 18–24 °C, followed by decanting in stainless-steel vats and malolactic fermentation at 18–20 °C.

Ageing

The wine ages for 18 months in French oak barrels.

Label / history

The Fedrigotti family's winemaking history began when the noble family acquired land in the Fojaneghe area. Its holdings subsequently expanded to 250 hectares, and an estate with unusual two-level cellars was built in Rovereto. The property was greatly reduced during the crisis of the Napoleonic era in the late eighteenth century and was later revived by Federico Bossi Fedrigotti through a series of major changes.
