Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The wine comes from the hills of Monreale, in Sicily.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand and cold-macerated at 7 °C. Fermentation follows at a controlled temperature, then malolactic fermentation, which softens the taste.
Ageing
The wine is aged for 12 months. Most of it (80%) rests in stainless steel tanks; the remaining 20% goes into large 20 hl oak barrels, which add roundness and depth.
Tasting profile
Deep in flavour, combining the distinctive characters of Nero d'Avola and Syrah. The wine is balanced.
