Vineyard and terroir
The selected fruit is grown in the Valpolicella area of Veneto.
Grapes
The blend uses selected Corvina Veronese and Rondinella grapes.
Vinification
Before traditional fermentation, the grapes are dried briefly in wooden crates. The wine then undergoes a second fermentation in contact with the grape-skin pomace remaining from Amarone production.
Ageing
The wine ages for two years in large Slavonian oak casks of 20–50 hectolitres.
Tasting profile
Richly flavoured and full of character, with a strong structure.
Label / history
The source states that “Classico” refers to the old, historic area of Bardolino, known since Roman times, whose vineyards traditionally supplied grapes for the region’s wines.
