Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the southwest-facing Pagliarese vineyard, at 350 m above sea level on the northern edge of the Felsina estate. Its soils combine quartz, sand and gravel.
Grapes
Trebbiano Toscano is identified locally as Procanico.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine is bottled immediately without ageing.
Label / history
“Pepestrino” has no direct Russian translation; the word refers to a vivid event that occurred suddenly. The label was created by Depero, one of the first Tuscan Futurists. The name Felsina dates back to Etruscan times.
