Vineyard and terroir
The production area is Acerenza in the province of Potenza. Low-trained vineyards occupy the volcanic slopes of Mount Vulture at elevations reaching 800 m. Altitude extends the growing season and makes Vulture one of Italy’s latest-harvesting areas, conditions suited to late-ripening native varieties. The soils are poor and volcanic.
Grapes
60% Greco and 40% Fiano.
Vinification
The grapes are chilled upon arrival at the winery and gently crushed. Fermentation takes place at 10°C in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. Juice handling is conducted without exposure to oxygen to retain fresh aromas.
Ageing
The wine matures on its lees in stainless-steel tanks.
Tasting profile
Yellow with green reflections. The aroma recalls white-fleshed fruit, while lively acidity emphasizes freshness. The pairing description also highlights a pronounced tropical-fruit character.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 10–12°C. Pair with peach and burrata salad or pour as an aperitif.
Danilo Gizzi is the winemaker.
