Label / history
Remole Bianco is made by the Marchesi de' Frescobaldi family, who have grown grapes in Tuscany for 700 years. In the 14th century the family supplied wine to the English Crown and to the courts of several European countries. From the second half of the 20th century they helped lead the development of Tuscan winemaking, and were among the first to plant varieties such as Chardonnay, Cabernet, Merlot and Pinot and to introduce new winemaking methods. In 1989 they acquired Brunello, the largest estate in the region. In 1995 they signed an agreement with a California winery to establish a joint venture in Tuscany. Frescobaldi now owns nine estates in Tuscany and exports to more than 60 countries.
