Label / history
Remole is made by the Marchesi de' Frescobaldi family, which has grown grapes in the heart of Tuscany for 700 years. In the fourteenth century the family supplied wine to the English Crown and to the courts of many European countries. From the second half of the twentieth century it helped develop Tuscan winemaking, and was among the first to plant varieties such as Chardonnay, Cabernet, Merlot and Pinot while introducing new winemaking methods. In 1989 it acquired the largest estate in the Brunello region. In 1995 it signed an agreement with a California winery for a joint venture in Tuscany. Frescobaldi now owns nine estates in Tuscany and exports to more than 60 countries.
