Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown in Guardiense’s vineyards in Sannio, at 250–300 metres above sea level.
Vinification
Sangiovese is harvested in late September and Aglianico in late October. The grapes undergo 22 days of skin maceration, followed by fermentation in stainless-steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation takes place in tonneaux.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 months in Tronçais and Allier oak barrels.
