Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in vineyards in the commune of Butera, Sicily, at an altitude of 300 m. The vines are 15–20 years old.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in mid-September and fermented in stainless steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine ages for approximately six months in stainless steel tanks, followed by a further 3–4 months in bottle.
