Vineyard and terroir
The Pugnitello grapes come from the Campolucci estate vineyards, situated on the eastern slopes of the Chianti hills at approximately 250 m above sea level.
Grapes
100% Pugnitello.
Vinification
Selected grapes are destemmed and gently crushed before fermentation in small vats. Skin contact is prolonged for approximately 20–25 days, followed by malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine matures for approximately 24 months in second- and third-use French oak barriques and receives at least three additional months of bottle ageing.
