Questo vino

Vineyard and terroir

The selected fruit comes from the vineyard near the small Madonna delle Grazie church. Its soil consists of coarse-grained, mineral-rich sand.

Grapes

The cuvée is made from selected grapes.

Vinification

Fermentation and maceration took place in old oak casks over 20–22 days.

Ageing

The wine matured for 41 months in 25-hectolitre casks, followed by at least 10 months in bottle.

Tasting profile

Before its optimal drinking window, the 2013 may feel slightly tight.

Serving and pairing

The recommended drinking window for the 2013 vintage is 2025–2038. If opened earlier, it needs plenty of air before serving.

Label / history

The wine takes its name from Madonna delle Grazie, a small church built in 1200 near the vineyard. It was Alessandro Mori’s first Riserva, created after he “fell in love with one barrel.”
