Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The Corvina fruit comes from vineyards in Verona.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested as they ripen and macerated on their skins for 10–20 days. Fermentation with selected yeasts takes place at 25–28 °C, followed by malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine matures in large Slavonian oak casks and small French oak barrels.
Vintage notes
In Veneto, the 2020 growing season began slightly earlier than usual, without problems during flowering or fruit set. Moderate temperatures and optimal rainfall from March to July provided favourable conditions. Temperatures rose in July and early August before strong summer storms reached the Valpolicella plains. Heavy rain and light hail caused occasional issues but no lasting damage. The grapes were healthy and of good quality, with normal sugar levels in line with previous years.
