A weekend in the Sulcis: wine, beaches and Sardinian tradition

The proposed itinerary begins at Porto Pino and the white dunes of Is Arenas Biancas near Teulada, where turquoise water, pale sand and flamingos in the nearby Is Brebeis lagoon form the coastal setting. Lunch is suggested at Peschiera da Basilio before an afternoon visit to Cantina Mesa.

The winery visit centers on the relationship between architecture, the Sulcis landscape, Carignano and Vermentino. The immersive blind tasting uses Gavino Sanna’s recorded voice and the sounds of the region to guide participants without visual cues.

The route continues to Porto Scuso for a sunset aperitif and then to Sant’Antioco for dinner. A further morning of fishing tourism from Teulada introduces local fishing stories, food aboard the boat and the possibility of seeing dolphins.
